STOP’s program design supports an integrated treatment model that focuses on recovery and wellness and includes two HIV/AIDS Specialists who provide counseling, rapid testing and referrals. Their function is to engage and provide consumers with related information, testing, counseling and support in a safe, respectful and non-judgmental environment to foster their physical wellness. The agency designed its programs to be holistically engaging to support consumers’ successful treatment program completion, recovery, medication compliance, and attentiveness to their physical wellness. Incentives are built in to the agency’s programs, one of which is a free lunch program. All participants receive a free and nutritious hot lunch every day they attend the program.
